Two Dead in Nelson Co. After Multiple vehicle Collision

Bardstown, KY.Kentucky State Police Post 4 Troopers responded to a multiple vehicle fatal collision in Nelson Co. Friday evening. On August 11, 2017 at approximately 5:27 P.M. EDST, KSP received a call from Nelson Co. dispatch asking for assistance on a multiple vehicle accident on Ky. 245 (New Shepherdsville Rd.). Tayseer Lewis (34) of Brandenburg was traveling West on KY 245 in a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup. Krystal Fauth (34) of Coxs Creek was traveling East on Ky 245 in a Hyundai Elantra. Amber Tingle (25) of Shepherdsville was operating a 1995 Ford Mustang Eastbound with a passenger, Billie Watts (30) of Cox’s Creek. For unknown reasons, the Ford pickup driven by Lewis crossed into the Eastbound lanes first striking the rear end of the Hyundai driven by Fauth. Tayseer Lewis’s pickup then continued on striking the Ford Mustang driven by Tingle head-on.

Tayseer Lewis was extricated from the vehicle and Transported to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries. Amber Tingle and Billie Watts were both extricated from their vehicle and transported to University Of Louisville Hospital where they were later pronounced dead. Toxicology results are pending and the accident is currently under investigation by KSP Trooper/Reconstructionist Brandon Brooks.
