Hopkinsville Man Arrested for Assault 1st Degree

Hopkinsville, Ky. The Kentucky State Police have arrested a Hopkinsville man for Assault 1st Degree and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
On December 21, 2017 Trooper Brian Graves responded to a call of a woman who had been ran over by a vehicle. Through investigation, Trooper Graves discovered Michael Wolff, 21 of Hopkinsville, ran over Ashley Rivera-Mena, 33 of Nortonville, with his vehicle after a verbal altercation in Mannington, KY. Ms. Rivera-Mena was transported to Baptist Health Madisonville, where she was then transported by helicopter to a hospital in Evansville, IN for non-life threatening injuries.
On December 30, 2017 at approximately 4:42 P.M., Trooper Graves and Trooper Hunter Carrol observed Mr. Wolff operating a 2004 GMC pickup on Greenville Road in Hopkinsville. The Troopers initiated a traffic stop on the pickup to arrest Mr. Wolff on a warrant for his assault on Ms. Rivera-Mena. During the stop Troopers discovered a concealed handgun in Wolff’s vehicle. Mr. Wolff was lodged in the Christian County Detention Center.
