Update: KSP Requests Assistance in Locating Escapee

December 19, 2017 Edward Prease has been captured in Charlotte, North Carolina by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police. The Kentucky State Police received confirmation of the arrest at approximately 12:00 P.M.

KSP Requests Assistance in Locating Escapee

Hopkinsville, KY. (December 16, 2017) – The Kentucky State Police Post 2 is requesting the assistance of the public in locating an inmate that escaped custody in Christian County and is now on the run. On December 16, 2017, at or around 6:50 PM, Edward Prease escaped custody from the Christian County Detention Center located at 410 West 7th Street, Hopkinsville, KY.

Prease was last seen wearing grey sweat pants and a grey sweat shirt. He was incarcerated for Vehicle Theft and Fleeing or Evading Police.

The escapee is:

  • Height - 5’ 11”
  • Weight - 190 pounds
  • Hair - Black
  • Eyes – Brown
