Two Injured in Collision in Browder

Browder, KY.(Muhlenberg County) – On Sunday September 17, 2017 at approximately 11:14 a.m., Kentucky State Police responded to a two vehicle injury collision that occurred at the intersection of State Route 70 East and US Highway 431 South.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Tammy Carrillo, 25 years old, Leitchfield, was operating a 2013 Honda Civic westbound on State Route 70 East. Ms. Carrillo failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection and collided with a 2003 Kia Spectra, operated by Raymond Herald, 62 years old, Bowling Green, that was northbound on US Highway 431 South.

Mr. Herald and his passenger, Patricia Thomas, 62 years old, Dunmore, were transported to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital by Muhlenberg County EMS for treatment of injuries sustained during the collision. They were both wearing their seatbelts.

Ms. Carrillo and her four passengers; Ruben Carrillo, 25 years old, Gage Sines, 7 years old, Gabriel Sines, 4 years old, and Grayson Carrillo, 1 year old, all from Leitchfield, were all wearing their seatbelts and were not injured in the collision

Trooper Jacob Fortney is investigating the collision and was assisted on scene by the Beechmont Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS.
