KSP Charges Four Volunteer Firefighters in Building Arson

Crofton, KY.(September 1, 2017) – Kentucky State Police were notified of a building fire that occurred on August 20, 2017, in Crofton, KY. Through investigation, it was learned that the building, which was unoccupied at the time of the fire, was a result of arson.

On September 1, 2017, KSP arrested and charged four members of the Crofton Fire Department, including the Fire Chief.

Fire Chief Jeremy P. Marlar, 27, of Crofton, KY. He was arrested and charged with Arson 2nd Degree and Official Misconduct 1st Degree.

Fireman Glen R. Mcgee, 23, of Hopkinsville, KY. He was arrested and charged with Arson 2nd Degree, Burglary 3rd Degree, and Official Misconduct 1st Degree.

Fireman Dakota S. Oglesby, 18, of Hopkinsville, KY. He was arrested and charged with Arson 2nd Degree and Burglary 3rd Degree.

Fireman Dylan M. Hodge, 18, of Crofton, KY. He was arrested and charged with Arson 2nd Degree.

All four subjects were lodged in the Christian County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing by Detective Scott Steward.
