Injury Collision on US 60E
One Transported to Hospital

Marion, KY. (January 16th, 2017) – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a single vehicle, injury-collision that occurred on US 60E near State Route 365, on Monday, January 16th, 2017 at approximately 2:41 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a juvenile, 16, of Marion, KY was operating a 2011 Toyota Corolla traveling westbound on US 60E. The juvenile lost control of his vehicle coming out of a corner and went off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck an embankment and rolled once landing up right off the roadway.

The juvenile was transported by ambulance to Crittenden County Hospital due to injuries sustained in the collision. The juvenile was wearing his seat belt.

Kentucky State Police is investigating the collision. Mattoon Volunteer Fire Department, Crittenden County Rescue Squad, Crittenden County EMS, and Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
