p>Multi-County Pursuit Ends in Arrest of Mayfield Man

Bardwell, Ky. (July 6, 2017) – Kentucky State Police and Graves County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Mayfield man Wednesday afternoon, following a two county vehicle pursuit. At approximately 1:30 p.m., a Graves County Sheriff’s Deputy notified KSP Post 1 dispatch of a vehicle that was fleeing from him in the city of Mayfield. Shortly thereafter, Mayfield Police and Kentucky State Police Post 1 Troopers joined the pursuit. The car continued to flee north on Highway 121 and, upon entering Carlisle County, struck a guardrail at the intersection of Highways 121 and 62.

Bardwell Police Department joined the pursuit at that time, which continued on Highway 62 through the city of Bardwell. While in Bardwell, the car turned south on Highway 51. About a mile south of Bardwell, the fleeing car struck a truck and a Graves County Sheriff’s Department cruiser. At approximately 2:00 p.m., the pursuit ended at the location of the two collisions and the driver was taken into custody.

Seantez M. Williams, age 27, of Mayfield, Kentucky was charged by KSP with the following offenses that occurred in Carlisle County:

  1. Speeding 26 or more over the limit
  2. Failure to Produce Insurance Card
  3. Disregarding Stop Sign
  4. Disregarding Traffic Control Device
  5. First Degree Wanton Endangerment of Police Officer (8 counts)
  6. First Degree Wanton Endangerment (2 counts)
  7. First Degree Fleeing or Evading Police in Motor Vehicle
  8. First Degree Criminal Mischief

Williams was charged by Graves County Sheriff’s Department with the following offenses that occurred in Graves County:

  1. Improper Equipment
  2. Speeding 25 over the limit
  3. Reckless Driving
  4. No Insurance
  5. First Degree Wanton Endangerment of Police Officer (7 counts)
  6. First Degree Wanton Endangerment (3 counts)
  7. First Degree Fleeing or Evading Police in Motor Vehicle
  8. Trafficking Marijuana- greater than 8 ounces
  9. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Williams was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
