Kentucky State Police Investigating Fatal Trigg County Collision

CADIZ, Ky. (June 14, 2017) – The Kentucky State Police are investigating a collision in Trigg County that took the life of a Cadiz resident. At approximately 6:30 p.m. yesterday, June 13, KSP Post 1 received a call from Trigg County Dispatch, requesting Troopers for a single vehicle collision on Canton Road near the intersection of Jackson Terrace Road. Upon the arrival of Trooper Nathan Clinkenbeard, he confirmed it was a single vehicle collision which had resulted in the death of the driver.

Preliminary investigation has shown Terry D. Moss had been driving his 2006 Chevy Silverado westbound on Canton Road when his right hand tires dropped off the shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Moss then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to exit the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then struck an embankment and overturned. Mr. Moss was not wearing his seatbelt and alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.

Terry D. Moss, age 60, of Cadiz, Kentucky, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Trigg County Coroner. KSP was assisted at the scene by Trigg County Fire/Rescue, Trigg County Ambulance, Trigg County Sheriff Office, Cadiz Police Department, and Trigg County Coroner’s Office.
