Possession of Cocaine

Owensboro, KY(November 25th, 2017) – Kentucky State Police conducted a traffic stop on Graham Lane for a traffic violation. The operator of the vehicle, Mr. Richard Hampton, 56, of Sacramento Kentucky was found to be concealing a crack cocaine pipe between his legs. Further investigation revealed Hampton to be in possession of crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and various prescription controlled substances. Hampton was arrested and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center on the following charges: Trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree 2nd offense drug unspecified, possession of controlled substance 1st degree 2nd offense methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance 1st degree 2nd offense cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense drug unspecified, prescription controlled substance not in proper container, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to wear seatbelts.
