Possession of a Controlled Substance

Hartford, Ky. (October 12, 2017) – Kentucky State Police and Ohio County Sheriff Office were performing a traffic safety check point on US 231 near Buford Road just outside the community of Hartford. Contact was made with Jaime L. Carney, 33, of Owensboro. Through investigation Carney was determined to be under the influence and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and related drug paraphernalia. Carney was placed under arrest and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs/Alcohol, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Carney was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
