Hartford, KY (March 23, 2017) -Kentucky State Police along with the Hartford Police Department, Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, and Probation and Parole received a tip that Peggy Arnold who was being sought by Probation and Parole for an outstanding warrant, was staying at an address in city limits of Hartford, KY. Troopers and other Law Enforcement Officials made contact with Peggy Smallwood at the home located on W Union Street. Mrs. Smallwood stated to officers that Peggy Arnold was not home and gave consent to search the residence. Officers located a secret compartment which lead beneath the home. Troopers found Peggy Arnold and Brian Lindsey hiding underneath the home. Kentucky State Police arrested Peggy Arnold on the following charges: Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor 1st Offense, Possession of Anhydrous Ammonia w/intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess . Brian Lindsey was arrested by Hartford Police Department on outstanding warrants and Peggy Smallwood was arrested by Ohio County Sheriff’s Office for Hindering Prosecution 1st Degree.
