Felony Drug Arrest

Date of News Release: 3/7/2017

Rockport, KY (March 7, 2017) – Kentucky State Police received a call of a suspicious person walking on KY1245 in the community of Rockport. When Trooper Adam Wright arrived in the area he located Marcus Jackson, 21, of Leitchfield standing on the front porch of a vacant home. Through investigation Trooper Wright determined that Jackson was under the influence of drugs and located two grams of crystal methamphetamine on his person. Jackson was arrested and taken to the Ohio County Detention Center where an additional amount of methamphetamine was located in Jackson’s property. Jackson was lodged on the following charges: Public Intoxication and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine), and Promoting Contraband 1st degree.
