Henderson County Man Arrested for Violating the SOR Lyon Had a Social Media Account Which Is a Violation

CORYDON, KY (February 1, 2017) – The Kentucky State Police has charged a Henderson County man with Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration after receiving information that he was non-compliant.
On Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at approximately 11:30 a.m., Trooper First Class Shane Settle arrested Joseph Lyon, 38, Corydon, KY. Lyon was charged with the following offense:
- one count - Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration 1st Offense (D Felony)
On Friday, January 27, 2017, Trooper Settle began an investigation after receiving information that Lyon, who is a registered sex offender, had a social media account which is a violation of the SOR (Sex Offender Registry). Through the investigation, it was determined that Lyon had a Facebook account.
Mr. Lyon was arrested at his Corydon residence without incident and lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center.
