Burglary 3rd Degree

Owensboro, KY (January 14, 2017) – (January 15th, 2016) – Kentucky State Police and Daviess County Sheriff’s office responded to a call of a burglary in progress at First Church of God on KY 554. Church members had been at the church to unload supplies when they observed a man dressed in black inside the church grabbing items. The man then ran out the backdoor, dropping items along his way. Further investigation led a Trooper and Deputies to a neighboring residence. The homeowner gave consent to search the residence for suspects and items related to the burglary. Mr. Michael Wilson, 34 years old and formerly of Illinois, was located inside the residence and found to be in possession of items taken during the church burglary. All items taken from the church were located and returned. Mr. Wilson was arrested for Burglary 3rd degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was also charged on 3 unrelated warrants for Robbery 2nd Degree and Burglary 3rd Degree both out of Daviess County, As well as a Failure to Appear warrant from Daviess District Court. Mr. Wilson was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
