Injury Collision on Main Street in Clay City

(Morehead, KY) - On Saturday April 30th 2016 at 8:46 P.M. Kentucky State Police Post 8 Morehead was notified about an injury related collision that occurred on Main Street in Clay City. There were three vehicles involved in this collision in Powell County. KSP responded to the scene. After investigation, it was determined that Amanda Jones, 34, of Clay City was traveling eastbound on Main St. in Clay City when she collided into a vehicle operated by Estill Cole,76, of Clay City who was attempting to turn on to River Drive. Mr. Cole's vehicle was then struck by a third vehicle operated by Michael Pelfrey, 29, of Jeffersonville. Ms. Jones, and Mr. Cole were transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center and a juvenile passenger from Mr. Pelfrey's vehicle was taken to Mount St. Joe's in Mount Sterling for treatment. This collision remains under investigation by Trooper Leslie Strong, Unit 343.
