Bath County Robbery Investigation

(Sharpsburg, KY) - On Sunday, February 7, 2016, Post 8 Morehead received a call of an armed robbery that occurred at the Town and Country Food Mart in Sharpsburg. Kentucky State Police and the Bath County Sheriff's Department arrived at the scene and determined that an armed male suspect entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes. The clerk then gave the suspect cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
Statements obtained at the scene indicate that the suspect entered the store wearing a skeleton mask, a gray hoodie sweatshirt, and dark pants. No injuries occurred as a result of the robbery.
