Kentucky State Police Post 6 - New Post Commander

(Dry Ridge, KY) – Rick Saint-Blancard, a 1980 Benet Academy High School graduate, (Lisle, Illinois) was promoted to captain by the Kentucky State Police (KSP) on Feb. 1, 2016. Based in Frankfort, Ky., Saint-Blancard served as Troop Commander of the agency's six regional forensic crime laboratories located throughout the state until September 1, 2016. Captain Saint-Blancard was transferred to Post 6 Dry Ridge as Post Commander. Prior to his promotion, he was assigned to KSP Post 6 in Dry Ridge, Ky. as Operations Lieutenant. An 11-year veteran of the force, Saint-Blancard has also served as commander of the KSP Recruitment Branch and the KSP Public Affairs Branch. Saint-Blancard is a graduate of Western Illinois University, where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Science. In 2002, he earned a Master's Degree in International Business Administration from Alliant International University in San Diego, Ca. Before joining the state police, he had a career with FedEx, which included an assignment to Mexico City as the Managing Director of Operations for Mexico. A current resident of Petersburg, he is married and has three sons.
