Harrison County Drug Arrest

Dry Ridge, Ky. (June 28, 2016) - On Monday, June 27, 2016 at 1:28 p.m. the Kentucky State Police in Dry Ridge conducted a traffic stop on KY 36 West at Poindexter Pike in Harrison County. Trooper Charles Loudermilk stopped a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu operated by Donald Herrington (18) of Cynthiana for weaving side to side. Trooper Loudermilk smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and had Mr. Herrington do field sobriety test. He then placed him under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs 1st offence. Mr. Herrington was also charged with careless driving, not wearing a seat belt, no operator's license, trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree (LSD) 1st offense, trafficking in controlled substance 3rd degree 1st offence (drug unspecified), trafficking in marijuana less than 8 ounces, possession of a handgun by a minor and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. Donald Herrington was lodged at Bourbon County Detention Center. This case remains under investigation by Trooper Loudermilk.
