Fatal Collision in Bourbon County

(Dry Ridge, KY.) - On Sunday April 17, 2016 at 4:19 p.m. Kentucky State Police in Dry Ridge was contacted by Bourbon County Dispatch in reference to a fatal collision. Allison Bishop (24) of Paris was traveling southbound on US 27 Lexington Road in a 2013 BMW X3. Miss Bishop passed a vehicle that was in the right lane as she went to merge back into the right lane she failed to see David Cassidy (62) of Lexington riding his bicycle. Miss Bishop struck the bicycle with the front right side of her vehicle. Mr. Cassidy was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Bourbon County Coroner. US 27 has two lanes that travel southbound and two lanes that travel northbound between Paris and Lexington. Trooper Charles Wagner assisted by Trooper Jack Hedges, Sergeant Chris Carter, Bourbon Co Fire, Bourbon County E.M.S., Bourbon County Sheriff's Office and the Bourbon County Coroner. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Charles Wagner.
