One Dead After I-65 Accident

(GLENDALE, KY.) - Kentucky State Police Post 04 Troopers worked a two vehicle fatality accident on I-65 Monday afternoon. On August 9, 2016 at approximately 1:40 P.M. EDST, Troopers responded to the 86 mile marker on I-65 just East of Glendale on a report of a two vehicle accident. Bridget M. Yates (52) of Vine Grove was operating a 1991 Toyota Camry Northbound on I-65 partially in the shoulder and partially in the right lane. Andrew S. Graley (33) of Pekin, In. was operating a 2014 Freightliner Semi-Tractor Northbound on I-65 in the same location and struck the vehicle operated by Yates in the rear left side. Both operators lost control of their vehicles and left the roadway. Andrew Graley was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin Co. Coroner's Office. Bridget Yates was transported to University Of Louisville Hospital with serious but non-lifethreatening injuries. KSP was assisted on the scene by KSP CVE, Glendale Fire Dept, Central Hardin Fire Dept, Elizabethtown Fire Dept, Hardin Co. EMS and the Hardin Co. Coroner's Office. The accident is under investigation by KSP Trooper/Detective Bryan Washer.
