Update: Double Homicide Investigation

(Morgantown, KY) – The State Medical Examiner's Office in Madisonville has determined that the cause of death for Kenneth and Dorothy Neafus is homicide. The Kentucky State Police in Bowling Green is now working this investigation as a double murder. No further information will be released at this time.

Double Homicide Investigation
Date of News Release: 08/9/2016
(Morgantown, KY) – On August 9th, 2016 at approximately 3:47 pm, the Kentucky State Police Post in Bowling Green received a call for service from the Butler County Sheriff's Office in reference to two deceased subjects located at 3455 Richland Church Road near Morgantown. Upon arrival, KSP Troopers located Kenneth Neafus (71) of Morgantown and Dorothy Neafus (70) of Morgantown deceased at the residence.
The preliminary investigation indicates that both subjects resided at the residence and were initially located deceased by a family member whom then contacted the Butler County Sheriff's Office. At this time KSP detectives have reason to believe that the suspect is possibly injured. No arrests have been made at this time. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow morning. No further information is being released at this time.
