Single Vehicle Fatal on Raider Hollow Road

MUNFORDVILLE, KY (June 17, 2016) - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to a single vehicle collision today at approx. 11:21 am on Raider Hollow Road that resulted in the death of the operator.

The preliminary investigation indicated that Dylan Cain Horton (20) of Munfordville was operating a 2001 black Chevrolet pickup and was traveling eastbound on Raider Hollow Road when he pulled out and attempted to pass another eastbound vehicle. At this time the vehicle dropped off the left shoulder of the roadway and went into a clockwise spin going off the left side of the roadway where it then overturned and ejected the operator.

Mr. Horton was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hart County Coroner's Office. He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Nolan Bunnell (20) of Munfordville and Billy Pittman (22) of Buffalo, KY, both passengers in the vehicle, were not transported by EMS.

The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Trooper Justin Rountree. He was assisted by Trooper Jonathan McChesney, Hart County Coroner's Office, Hart County EMS, and the Priceville Fire Department.
