Traffic Stop Leads to Three Arrested for Felonies

(Bowling Green, KY) - Trooper Jason Adkison of the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green made a traffic stop on a 2016 Chrysler passenger car, that was being operated by Daniel Scott (23) of Louisville, on Interstate 65 in Warren County last night at approx. 8:02 pm for traveling 95 mph.

Through the course of the investigation Trooper Adkison was assisted by a Bowling Green Police Department Officer and his canine who alerted on the vehicle to the presence of the odor of narcotics. During the search of the vehicle a loaded handgun was located that had the serial number defaced. There was also two baggies of suspected methamphetamine located on a female passenger that had been concealed. A male passenger in the rear of the vehicle, who at first gave officers a false name and social security number, was found to be a convicted felon. Also located in the vehicle were some other items that are consistent with trafficking in illegal drugs.

The operator of the vehicle, Ms. Scott, was arrested and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail and charged with:

  • Possession of Defaced Firearm
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Less than 2 grams Methamphetamine)
  • Speeding 25 MPH Over Limit
  • Reckless Driving
  • Operating on Suspended Operators License

The female passenger, Shannon Rowe (26) of Louisville, was arrested and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail and charged with:

  • Possession of Defaced Firearm
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Less than 2 grams Methamphetamine)
  • Tampering With Physical Evidence

The rear male passenger, Russell Gover (36) of Louisville, was arrested and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail and charged with:

  • Possession of Defaced Firearm
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Less than 2 grams Methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon
  • Giving Officer False Name or Address

The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Trooper Jason Adkison and he was assisted by Troopers Chad Smith and Jordan Carter, and the Bowling Green Police Department. No further details can be released at this time.
