Injury Collision on Morgantown Road Involving a Motorcycle

(Bowling Green, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to a two vehicle injury collision on April 17, 2016 at approx. 12:33 pm on Morgantown Road at the intersection of Mark Trail in Warren County that involved a passenger car and a motorcycle.

The preliminary investigation indicated that Corene Counts (84) of Bowling Green was operating a 2007 Saturn passenger car and had stopped at the stop sign on Mark Trail. She then pulled on to Morgantown Road into the pathway of a 2000 Honda motorcycle being operated by Chris Oulay (30) of Bowling Green, that was traveling northbound on Morgantown Road. The motorcycle was unable to avoid the collision and struck the driver's side of Counts&339; vehicle.

Mr. Oulay and his passenger, Ida Myldy (29) of Irvington, were both flown by AirEvac to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of their injuries where their condition is unknown at this time.

Ms. Counts was transported by the Medical Center EMS to the Medical Center in Bowling Green for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Trooper Brett Coomes. He was assisted on the scene by Troopers Kevin Mayfield and Josh Amos, the Medical Center EMS, Bowling Green Fire Department, and the Barren River Fire Department.
