Two Vehicle Injury Collision on Legrande Highway

(Horse Cave, KY)- The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received a call of a head on collision with entrapment today in the 2000 block of Legrande Highway in Hart County that occurred at approx. 6:28 am.

The preliminary investigation indicated that Kinly Denton (18) of Horse Cave was operating a 2015 Ford passenger car and was traveling eastbound on Legrande Highway and had pulled into the westbound lane to pass a slower vehicle. As she cleared the slower vehicle she failed to see an oncoming westbound vehicle and steered left in an attempt to avoid a collision but struck him head on. The westbound vehicle was a 1993 Buick passenger car being operated by George Logsdon (61) of Hardyville. Mr. Logsdon's vehicle came to final rest in the westbound lane and Ms. Denton's vehicle went off the west side of the roadway.

Mr. Logsdon was extricated from his vehicle by the Horse Cave Fire & Rescue where he was transported by the Hart County EMS to the Medical Center in Bowling Green for multiple injuries.

Ms. Denton was transported by private means to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for treatment.

The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Trooper First Class Jonathan McChesney. He was assisted on the scene by Hart County EMS, and Horse Cave Fire & Rescue.
