KSP Seeking Escapee from Todd County

Date of News Release: 12/8/2016

Update: On Thursday December 8, 2016, at approximately 7:39 a.m., Donald Jay Murphy Jr. was arrested by Kentucky State Police Troopers from Post 15 Columbia without incident. KSP Post 15 received an anonymous tip on Murphy’s whereabouts. Murphy was served with the Escape 2nd Degree warrant that was issued by Todd County Court.

Trenton, KY (Todd County) On Monday, December 5, 2016, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville was contacted by the Todd County Detention Center in reference to an escapee. The inmate was on work release at the Trenton Community Center, 250 South Main Street, Trenton, KY.

The escapee is: Donald Jay MURPHY Jr.
• Age: 36
• Sex: Male
• Race: White
• Height: 6’4”
• Weight: 180
• Hair: Brown
• Eyes: Blue

Murphy was last seen wearing an orange shirt, brown prison jacket and possibly blue jeans. He was incarcerated on charges of Theft of Unlawful Taking Over $500, Under $10,000 and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.
