Inmates Walk Away from Work Release/Are Located

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (July 13, 2016) - The Kentucky State Police has charged two inmates after they walked away from a work-release detail in Hopkinsville.

On Wednesday, July 13, at approximately 12:35 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville was contacted by the Christian County Jail in reference to two escapees. The inmates were on a work-release detail at the recycling center located on Mount Zoar-Latham Road when they walked away. At approximately 1:53 p.m., jail personnel located the two on the bypass near Concord Church. Both were taken into custody without incident.

Charged were:

Shawn M. Duncan, 24, Hopkinsville – Escape 3rd Degree
Quintin W. Jones, 23, Hopkinsville – Escape 3rd Degree and Execution of Bench Warrants

Both were lodged in the Christian County Jail.
