Fatal Accident Investigation

HARTFORD, KY. (July 08, 2016) - Kentucky State Police responded to a three vehicle fatal collision on US 231 in the city limits of Hartford.

Preliminary Investigation revealed Kenneth Hulsey 47, of Hartford was operating a 2001 Chevy SUV northbound on US 231. Mr. Hulsey entered the southbound lane striking a 1990 Buick operated by Craig Mills 52, of Hartford. Mr. Hulsey's vehicle then spun in the roadway and was struck by a 2001 Toyota driven by Erika Southard 21, of Beaver Dam. Mr. Hulsey and Ms. Southard were transported by Ohio County EMS to Ohio County Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries. Mr. Mills and his passenger Hollie Easterling 34, of Beaver Dam were transported to Ohio County Hospital and pronounced dead by Ohio County Coroner. The accident is still under investigation by Detective Eric Dilback under case number 16-16-0290.
