Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatality Collision

Lawrenceburg, Ky. (September 09, 2016) - Kentucky State Police were called to investigate a two vehicle fatal collision on US 62 Versailles Rd. in Anderson County.

Anderson County dispatch received a call of a reckless driver traveling west on US 62 Versailles Road. Before the vehicle could be located it was involved in a collision. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office contacted Kentucky State Police Post 12 and requested the Collision Reconstruction Unit.

Troopers determined that a 1993, Blue Chevrolet Lumina passenger car, operated by Aaron Caudill, age 24, of Lawrenceburg, Ky was traveling West on US 62 Versailles Road, when he lost control of his vehicle and crossed the center line of the roadway into the west bound lanes. Aaron Caudill then struck a 2010 Toyota Highlander SUV operated by Ronald Howard, age 71, of Lawrenceburg, Ky. who was travelling in the east bound lane.

Aaron Caudill was transported to Frankfort Regional Hospital for fatal injuries suffered from the collision. Aaron Caudill was pronounced deceased at Frankfort Regional Hospital. Ronald Howard and his passenger Judy Howard were transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital with serious injuries.

Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, Anderson County Fire and EMS and the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police Post 12 Collision Reconstruction Unit.
