KSP Investigates Fatal Motorcycle Collision

(Branham's Creek, KY)- In the early evening hours of Sunday August 02, 2015, Post 09 Pikeville received a call of a single vehicle accident involving a motorcycle near the Branham's Creek community of Floyd County. KSP troopers responded, and information obtained at the scene indicates that Anthony Keene, 39 years old of Pikeville, KY, was traveling on KY route 680, when he lost control of his 2015 Ducati motorcycle. Keene failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, and was ejected from the motorcycle, resulting in fatal injuries. Keene was pronounced deceased at the scene by Floyd County Deputy Coroner, Omery Hall. Investigation at the scene determined that Keene was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Trooper John Gabbard is the investigating this accident. Trooper Gabbard was assisted at the scene by members of the Mud Creek Fire Department, and Left Beaver Ambulance Service.
