KSP Investigates Pharmacy Robbery in Pike County

(Robinson Creek, KY) - In the early evening hours of Sunday, March 29, 2015, Post 9 Pikeville received a 911 call of an armed robbery at Rite Aid Pharmacy in the Robinson Creek Community of Pike County. Troopers responded to the scene and determined that a male subject entered the pharmacy brandishing a firearm, and passed a note demanding prescription medication.
The initial investigation at the scene indicates the subject was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, sweatpants, gloves, and white shoes. The subject was given Antihistamine medication before fleeing the scene in a gold passenger car.
The Kentucky State Police is asking the public for any information relating to this case, and can call the Kentucky State Police Post 09 at (606) 433-7711. Callers can remain anonymous.
This incident remains under investigation by KSP Detective Tony Tackett. Detective Tackett was assisted at the scene by Troopers from Post 09.
