Injury Collision in Morgan County

(West Liberty, KY) - On Friday, October 30th, 2015 at 3:15pm, the Kentucky State Police Post 8 received a call of a two vehicle injury collision at the junction of KY519 and KY7 in Morgan County. Troopers along with Morgan County EMS responded to the scene. It was determined that Mildred Sparks, 63 of West Liberty, was traveling southbound on KY519 in a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria when she attempted to make a left turn onto KY7. Upon making the turn, Mrs. Sparks was struck by a 2014 Chevy Cruze operated by Kim Crase, 30 of Campton, who was traveling northbound on KY519. Mrs. Sparks was transported to Morgan ARH and later transported to UK Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation. She is currently listed in stable condition. Ms. Crase was transported to Morgan County ARH where she is listed in stable condition. The passenger in Mrs. Sparks’ vehicle, Isom Sparks, 67 of Salyersville, was treated and released from Morgan ARH. The collision remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police in Morehead. ###
