Bath County Injury Collision

(Owingsville, KY) - On Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 7:47 PM Kentucky State Police in Morehead along with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department, Montgomery County EMS, Bath County Sheriff's Department and Bath County EMS responded to a single vehicle injury collision on U.S. 60, near the Bath/Montgomery County line. Jeremy Cundiff, 27, of Jeffersonville, was operating a 2004 GMC Envoy west bound on U.S. 60, when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then left the roadway and struck a tree, causing all occupants to be ejected. Mr. Cundiff was airlifted from the scene to the University of Kentucky hospital where he is listed in stable condition. Hillary Blankenship, 24, of Morehead, was airlifted from the scene to the University of Kentucky hospital where she is listed in critical condition. Two other juvenile passengers were also airlifted from the scene to the University of Kentucky hospital where they are listed in stable condition. No seatbelts or child restraints were believed to be worn by the driver or passengers. The collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police in Morehead.
