Rowan County School Bus Accident

(Morehead, KY) – On September 3rd, 2015 at 9:45 P.M. Kentucky State Police in Morehead responded to a report of a School Bus accident on Cranston Road approximately 11 miles north of Morehead. A Rowan County school bus was traveling south on Cranston Road when the driver lost control due to heavy fog. The school bus left the south bound shoulder, striking a bridge, and the left the roadway. The School bus was returning from Lewis County transporting 18 students and 2 adults. One juvenile was transported from the scene to St. Claire Medical Center by Rowan County EMS for possible minor injuries. No other passengers sustained injuries during the course of the accident. The accident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police in Morehead.
