Injury Collision on I-64 in Montgomery County

(Owingsville, KY) - On Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 9:55 p.m. Morehead State Police Post received a call of an injury accident on I-64 in Montgomery County. Trooper Nathan Shortridge, Montgomery County EMS and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene. Upon investigation it was determined Steve Edens, 41, of Lexington, KY was traveling west on I-64 at mile marker 121 when he lost control of his 2001, Silver, Toyota Rav 4. Mr. Edens traveled into the median and over an embankment where he struck a rock embankment. Mr. Edens was transported to St. Joseph in Mt. Sterling, where he is listed in stable condition. Passenger, Jamiee Edens, 67, of Lexington, KY was air lifted to University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington where she is listed in critical condition. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Nathan Shortridge.
