KSP Conducts a Fire and Death Investigation in Mercer County

(Harrodsburg, KY) - The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was called at approximately 6:30 p.m. EDT, on Saturday, April 25, 2015, in reference to a possible fatal fire on Danville Road in Mercer County. The initial investigation revealed that a meth lab and two people were found deceased inside the burned structure. The cause of the fire and the causes of death are both under investigation.
The Kentucky State Police is asking anyone that saw any suspicious activity in the area or with any information to call (859) 623-2404 or toll free at (800) 222-5555.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Detective Frank Thornberry. He was assisted at the scene by KSP Personnel, Mercer County Fire Department, Mercer County Sheriff's Office, Harrodsburg Police Department, and the State Fire Marshall.
