Fatal Collision on US 31-W in Rowletts

(Rowletts, KY) - On Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at approx. 2:20 pm the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received a call of a two vehicle injury collision on US 31-W in the limits Rowletts in Hart County.

The preliminary investigation indicated that Lillie Gaddie (19) of Bonnieville was operating a 2005 Ford Focus and was traveling southbound on US 31-W when she lost control for an unknown reason and her vehicle began to skid in a counter-clockwise direction into the northbound lane, where the rear passenger side of her vehicle struck the front of a northbound 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe operated by Jon Thompson (18) of Cub Run.

Gaddie was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hart County Coroner Reggie Pettit. Her passenger, Kristen Olsen (25) of Bonnieville was transported from the scene by Hart County EMS to Caverna Memorial Hospital, where she was then transported to the University of Louisville Hospital where she is listed in critical condition. Both occupants were believed to have been wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.

Thompson was not injured and was wearing his seat belt at the time of the collision.

The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Trooper Timmy Jewell and he was assisted by Troopers Graham Rutherford and Ronnie Reynolds, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Nick Pruitt, Munfordville Police Chief Greg Atwell, Hart County EMS, and the Munfordville Fire Department.
