Mortons Gap, KY (Hopkins County) - The Kentucky State Police is investigating a single-vehicle, injury-collision that occurred on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway, at approximately the 36 mile-marker, on Tuesday, November 3, at 10:12 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that John P. Clark, 46, Livermore, KY, was operating a 2002 Freightliner tractor-trailer southbound on the parkway. He was hauling logs.

As Mr. Clark was traveling southbound in the right lane, through the construction zone, he attempted to cross into the left lane and lost control of the vehicle. The logs spilled onto the roadway and the median.

Mr. Clark sustained minor injuries, but refused treatment. He was wearing a seatbelt.
