Single Vehicle Injury Collision on I-24

Oak Grove, KY (Christian County) - The Kentucky State Police is investigating a single-vehicle, injury-collision that occurred on Interstate 24, at approximately the 92 mile-marker, on Friday, October 30, at 1:15 a.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Michael Cochran, 24, Hopkinsville, KY, was operating a 2012 Dodge Charger eastbound on I-24, near the Tennessee state line, when his vehicle struck a deer that was in the roadway. He was able to come to a controlled stop in the emergency lane.
Mr. Cochran was transported via ambulance to the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell for treatment. He was wearing a seatbelt.
Trooper Billy Over is investigating the collision. Christian County EMS assisted at the scene.
