Traffic Stop Leads to Trafficking in Meth Arrest

Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County) - On August 15, 2015, Trooper Jon McGehee initiated a traffic stop on a 2002 Buick passenger car for an equipment violation. After conducting a series of Field Sobriety Test, the operator, Jeffrey W Duvall, Age 44 of Central City, was placed under arrest for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence.

During the investigation, it was determined that both occupants were in possession of controlled substances, smoking paraphernalia, and items used to distribute controlled substances. The passenger, Amanda D Corbitt, Age 28 of Central City, was placed under arrest and charged with the following:

  1. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  2. Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense Methamphetamine

Mr. Duvall was charged with the following:

  1. Obstructed Vision/Windshield
  2. Driving DUI Suspended License 1st Offense (Agg Circumstance)
  3. Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 3rd Offense (Agg Circumstance)
  4. Possession of Marijuana
  5. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  6. Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense Methamphetamine

Mr. Duvall and Mrs. Corbitt are both lodged at the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
