Single-Vehicle Injury-Collision on Fishtrap Road

Marion, KY (Crittenden County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury-collision that occurred on Fishtrap Road, on Monday, August 10, at approximately 10:50 p.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Tyler Jones, 20, Marion, was operating a 1995 GMC pickup truck southbound on Fishtrap Road. As he was negotiating a curve, he lost control on the wet roadway. The pickup truck exited the left side of the roadway and struck a ditch. The vehicle came to rest on the driver's side.
Mr. Jones, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured. The passenger, Katharina Hughes, 22, Marion, had to be mechanically extricated from the vehicle. She was transported via ambulance to Crittenden Health Systems for treatment. Ms. Hughes was not wearing a seatbelt.
Trooper Daniel Holland investigated the collision. The Crittenden County Sheriff's Department, Marion Fire & Rescue, and Crittenden County EMS assisted at the scene.
