Collision involving Injuries in Muhlenbeg County

Greenville, KY. (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a two vehicle collision at the intersection of US 62 and KY 189, just west of Greenville on Monday, June 1, 2015, at approximately 3:45 PM. Vonda Conway, 63, of Central City, KY was operating a 2011 Ford Fusion eastbound on US 62 and attempted to make a left turn onto KY 189. Mrs. Conway turned into the path of a Lovan Groves, 59 of Greenville, KY. Mrs. Groves was operating 2012 Chevy Yukon which was traveling westbound on US 62. After the collision the vehicle Mrs. Conway was operating crossed the southbound lane of KY 189 and exited the roadway. The vehicle struck a ditch and came to final rest upright. The vehicle driven by Mrs. Groves came to final rest upright in the southbound lane of KY 189 facing north. Both operators were wearing seatbelts. Vonday Conway and Lavon Groves were transported by the Muhlenberg County Ambulance Service to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The collision is under investigation by Trooper Craig Engler. Trooper Engler was assisted at the scene by the Greenville Police Department, Greenville Fire Department and the Muhlenberg County EMS.
