Central City Residents Arrested On Drug Charges

Central City, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police has arrested a man and a woman from Central City on drug-related charges.
On Monday, February 23, at approximately 11:26 a.m., the Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at a residence on J H Mitchell Road in Central City. During the search, officers located approximately a quarter pound of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
The search warrant stemmed from a joint investigation between the KSP and the Union County (KY) Sheriff's Department involving illegal drug activity.
Arrested at the scene were James L. Dennison, 47, and Sarah I. Morris, 27, both of Central City. They were each charged with the following offenses:
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense Over 2 Grams - Meth (C Felony)
- Possession of Marijuana (B Misdemeanor)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (A Misdemeanor)
They were lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
KSP Post 2 units, KSP DESI (Drug Enforcement/Special Investigations) West units, KSP Special Operations K-9 Section, and the Union County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
