Debbie Flowers Named KSP Post 1 Civilian of the Year for 2014
Date of News Release: 10/27/2015
(Mayfield, KY) - The Kentucky State Police recently held an awards presentation in Frankfort to honor the civilian employees. Twenty-five civilians were honored from across the state.
Debbie S. Flowers, Administrative Specialist II, received the 2014 Civilian Employee of the Year for KSP Post 1. Mrs. Flowers had been employed by the Kentucky State Police for eight years prior to her August 1st retirement.
Mrs. Flowers has spent her State Police career at Post 1 serving as the Criminal Records Administrative Specialist. During 2014 she made significant contributions to Post 1 and the agency. With the large number of probationary Troopers being assigned to this Post, transfers, and retirements of personnel, Mrs. Flowers worked extremely hard to ensure that errors were corrected and cases were reassigned. She went above and beyond by sacrificing her personal time to provide secretarial support to supervisors and managers, both complex and technical in nature, by coming in early, leaving late, and even coming in on regular days off. She has always been very active in helping with several Post lunches, Post clean-up day, and Post charitable campaigns, such as Shop with a Trooper, and the Scott Lathram Trooper Island Golf Tournament.
Mrs. Flowers is the daughter of Stan and Betty Wonnell Lynnville, KY.
