Grand Rivers Man Arrested on Several Charges

(Grand Rivers, KY) – On March 14, 2015, at approximately 0004 hours, Trooper Eric Fields and Trooper Derek Scott responded to a residence in Grand Rivers in reference to a disorderly and intoxicated male subject who was the sole guardian of a 5 year-old child. Upon their arrival and subsequent investigation, they placed Michael Hubbard, 50 of Grand Rivers, under arrest. As Trooper Fields attempted to place him in the back seat of his cruiser, Mr. Hubbard became belligerent and head-butted Trooper Fields. Mr Hubbard also caused damage to Trooper Fields' cruiser and continued to assault officers and EMS personnel while being further restrained. Mr Hubbard was lodged in McCracken County Detention Center and charged with the following: Resisting Arrest; Menacing; Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place; Disorderly Conduct, 2nd Degree; Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree; 2 Counts of Assault, 3rd Degree (EMS, Fire and Rescue); 4 Counts of Assault, 3rd Degree (Police Officer); 5 Counts of Intimidating a Participant in a Legal Process; and Criminal Mischief, 1st Degree. The investigation continues by Trooper Eric Fields with the Kentucky State Police.
