Theft of Kentucky Registration Plate/Decal in McLean County

(Henderson, KY) - Trooper Begley was patrolling US 431 and conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 Chevy truck for a registration violation. Through investigation, it was discovered the registration decal did not match the registration plate. The driver of the truck, James Cobb, admitted to removing the decal from a vehicle belonging to Advanced Drainage Systems in Livermore, and placed it on his vehicle. Cobb was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center. Mr. Cobb was charged with:
- Theft of Kentucky registration plate/decal
- expired registration Plate
- Expired Registration Receipt
- Failure of owner to maintain required insurance 1st off.
