Fleeing and Evading Police Arrest in McLean County

(Henderson, KY) - On Monday, May 18th, Kentucky State Police conducted a traffic safety checkpoint in Island, KY on US 431. Paul Mason, passed though the checkpoint in a Jeep Cherokee and failed to comply with Trooper's commands. A pursuit was initiated in which Mr. Mason came into the city limits of Livermore. The pursuit continued onto Atherton Street were the vehicle struck a fire hydrant. Mr. Mason then exited the Jeep and began to run on foot. Troopers gave chase and were able to arrest Mr. Mason in a nearby yard without further incident. Mr. Mason was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center on the below charges.
