Clinton County Fatal Collision

(Albany, KY.) - Tpr. Jason Warinner is investigating a collision that occurred on 05/27/2015 at 12:54 PM CST at the intersection of US 127 & KY 558. 83-year-old Mary Swope, of Monticello, was operating a westbound 2000 Acura on KY 558 when she attempted to turn left onto US 127. She turned into the path and was struck by a northbound 2008 Ford on US 127, operated by 46-year-old Sylvia Crosby, of Monticello KY. Swopes vehicle was also struck by a second car, a northbound 2013 Ford, operated by 19-year-old Joshua Bell of Somerset.
Swope was transported to the Clinton County Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Crosby and a passenger, 59-year-old Wanda Patton, of Alpha KY, was transported to the Clinton County Hospital. Bell was not injured. All drivers and passengers were belted.
