(Litt Carr, KY) - Troopers with Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard are looking to the public for assistance as they attempt to locate a Perry County man who led them on a two county pursuit Saturday evening.
Troopers and Knott County Sheriff's Deputies were conducting a traffic safety checkpoint at the junction of Highway 582 and 160 on March 21, when a vehicle approached and stopped at that location. Tpr. Josh Richardson made contact with a lone male occupant, who was identified as Shannon W. Lumpkins, age 33 of Hazard. Shannon Lumpkins was asked to exit his vehicle on suspicion of driving intoxicated. Shannon Lumpkins accelerated his vehicle and fled onto KY 160 at which time a pursuit ensued. The pursuit then led back into the Collins Branch area of Knott County, where officers lost contact with Shannon Lumpkins.
