Perry County Couple Victims of Home Invasion

(Bulan, KY) - A Perry County couple had their home robbed early Wednesday evening, when two men barged in on a lone woman inside her residence. Troopers and Detectives with Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard responded to the residence on Darb Fork Road, in the Bulan community of Perry County, after a neighbor called seeking assistance for the victims.
Investigators spoke with Jacqueline Gibson and her husband Willie Gibson when they arrived on the scene. Jacqueline Gibson advised that she was home alone, when two unknown male subjects entered through the front door of the residence and demanded that she give them money. She advised that they searched her looking for money, but didn't find any. One of the assailants took possession of a handgun belonging to the Gibson's, just before Willie Gibson returned home. Willie Gibson told investigators that he was assaulted by the men, before they took an undetermined amount of cash from him then fled from the residence on foot. Jacqueline Gibson ran to the neighbor's for help before the two men ran away. The gun was also taken by one of the perpetrators.
KSP personnel were unable to locate the two men in the area of Darb Fork. Neither of the victims was seriously injured, and this incident remains under investigation by Detective Chris Collins with KSP Post 13.
